AP6

Although the AP6 used the AP5's bodyshell, it was notable for a number of model variations that greatly widened the range. The Safari wagon and Regal introduced in the AP5 model range were joined by the Wayfarer utility and a V8 Valiant, which in a move of creative genius was named the 'V8 Valiant'. All Valiant model ranges from this point had at least one V8 engine available. 200 AP6s were produced in each 8 hour shift and the model was so popular that delivery times were up to 4 months. Prices ranged from $2500 to $3650 in those newfangled dollars.
