RV1

Released in January of 1962, the R Series was an instant hit, with it's modern styling and a lot more power than the existing Falcon and Holden. The R Series started at £1299 and was notable for being the first Australian car to be equipped with an alternator instead of a generator. Total production of the R Series was 1009 vehicles, which ensures their comparative rarity and resultant value.
