VK

The VK range was released in October 1975 and featured the almost the same engines and minor cosmetic updates of the successful VJ range. Carpet was now standard across the range and the Valiant Charger was now called the Chrysler Charger. Although the 318ci was still available and it was possible to order the 360ci, the V8s were less popular than before thanks to the fuel crisis. This was the last year for the Chrysler by Chrysler, and production of all VK models ceased after just 20555 vehicles as they did not meet ADR27A (exhaust emission control) which came into effect on 1st of July 1976.
