CL

Although the CL used the same bodyshell as earlier models, the panels were extensively redesigned for a new look. The CL range now included a panel van and the Regal SE. The base model 215ci Hemi was dropped, as was the 360ci V8. The Drifter pack was available on the Charger, Panel Van and Utility which consisted of spiffy paint and pinstriping combinations. Late production CLs included a suspension package specially suited to radial tyres which significantly improved roadholding and handling. 36672 CLs were built before production ended in late 1978.
