Window Glass Mounting Channel, Driver's Door, Salvaged

$45.00

The Glass Mounting Channels are frequently attacked by rust. Weatherstrips perish, water slides down the glass and lands on the Glass Mounting Channel. Eventually the channel rusts out and the first you know of it is when your window is at an unusual angle or has trouble going up or down.

Note that these are second hand and may be have some rust but will still be structurally sound and usable.

Tip: to remove the remains of your old channel, get someone to hold the glass (preferably on the grass in case they drop it) while you hook a slide hammer on the edge of the channel. A few good taps will budge a stubborn Glass Mounting Channel with no damage to the glass. The new channel should be attached with mastic and/or rubber sheet/inner tube cut to size. Make sure it is securely attached before reinstallation!
